The short version
If you fill in the contact form, we get what you typed. That is the only information you actively give us. We use it to reply to you and to do the work if you hire us. We do not sell it, rent it, or hand it to anyone who is not helping us run the business.
What the contact form collects
- Your name and email address, which are required so we can answer.
- Your phone number, if you choose to give it.
- Whatever you write in the message.
Submissions are handled by Netlify, which hosts this site, and are delivered to our email. Netlify also runs a spam check on submissions. We keep inquiries for as long as they are useful — an active conversation, a live project, or a record of work we have done — and delete them when they are not.
What happens automatically
Like any website, this one is served by a host that keeps ordinary server logs: IP address, browser type, which page was requested and when. Netlify uses these to serve the site, defend against attacks and keep the service running. We do not use them to build a profile of you, and we do not combine them with anything else.
Cookies and tracking
This site sets no cookies of its own, and runs no analytics or advertising scripts. There is no Google Analytics, no advertising pixel, no session tracking and no chat widget. Fonts are served from this site rather than from a font service, so loading a page does not tell anyone else that you visited.
If we add analytics later — and we may, to see which pages are useful — we will update this page and choose a tool that does not track people across other websites.
Video
Case studies include videos hosted on Vimeo. Nothing loads from Vimeo until you press play: until then you are looking at a still image served from this site. Once you press play, Vimeo can see that request and appliesits own privacy policy. We ask Vimeo not to track playback where it offers that option.
Links to other sites
We link to client websites, our social profiles and occasionally to sources. Once you follow a link you are on someone else's site, under their policy, not ours.
Your choices
- See what we hold. Ask, and we will tell you what we have from you and send you a copy.
- Have it deleted. Ask, and we will delete it, except where we need to keep a record for accounting or contractual reasons.
- Correct it. Tell us what is wrong and we will fix it.

Children
This site is for business. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has sent us something, tell us and we will remove it.
Client work
When we work on a client's website or marketing, we sometimes handle information their customers have given them. In those cases the client decides what is collected and why, and we handle it on their instruction, under whatever agreement we have with them. Their privacy policy governs it, not this one.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Material changes will be obvious rather than buried — we are not going to quietly start tracking you.
